We will head up to Ringinglow village and then continue up to Burbage, dropping
down beneath Stanage Edge along Hollin Bank.
We will then climb up New Road before enjoying the decent to Yorkshire Bridge.
We will take the back roads to Thornhill and Aston then drop down to Hope. From
Hope we take the Edale Road, leading us to our lunch stop at the Penny Pot Cafe.
We will head back to Sheffield along the Hope Road to Hathersage and up to
Surprise View.
We will regroup regularly, and the climbs will be taken at a steady pace.
Approx 33 miles and 780m ascent.

A scenic route heading out through Baslow and taking the little road through Manners Wood to Bakewell. Up to Newhaven and through Biggin to Hartington. The cafe stop may be here (25 miles) or six miles further on in Longnor depending on weather and group size. North from here through Glutton Bridge to Brierlow Bar and turning east through Chelmorton. After dropping down to Miller’s Dale we’ll return through Tideswell, Eyam and the last climb along Padley Gorge to Fox House for the descent home. Bring snacks as it’s a long route with quite a few climbs.

Meet at 09:30 at Millhouses Park Cafe by the boating lake. We will take the climb out of Sheffield, via Ringinglow, very steadily and re-group frequently. We will then cycle via Surprise View to Owler Bar ready for a relaxed, good value lunch at 'The Moorlands' pub. It's then very largely flat or downhill back to the start! Approx. 20 miles (32km) of scenic Derbyshire cycling with just over 1750ft (500m) of ascent. Please bring a lock for the lunch stop.

A relaxed ride at 10.00am to the East of Sheffield with less climbing than our normal rides in Derbyshire. A good opportunity for Saturday morning riders who would like to try a longer Sunday ride. The only significant climb comes right at the beginning as we climb through Sheffield suburbs to Coal Aston. A long descent takes us to Eckington. A short stretch along the busy A6125 takes us to a turnoff and a short sharp hill to Spinkhill. The route then undulates as far as Harthill. Here where we start a long gentle descent through Thorpe Salvin to Shireoaks on the outskirts of Worksop. This is a particularly attractive descent. At this time of year the hedge rows on this small lane will be full of spring flowers such as cow parsley, red campion, buttercups and even a few remaining bluebells. After Shireoaks we cross the busy A57 and navigate our way past a busy roundabout before we head north to Woodsetts, Gildingwells, Letwell and Oldcotes. The return to Sheffield is through Firbeck, and a long gentle climb to Laughton en le Morthen. The final section re-enters Sheffield via Ulley, Treeton and Catcliffe, the Europa Link Road and Attercliffe Road. The route ends at Victoria Quays., but riders from the North of Sheffield will peel off a little earlier.
