Cresswell Worksop (Grade 2)
Starts: 9.30 Outside The Steel Foundry Meadowhall

Heading for the Olawa Polish Bakery at Worksop, via Cresswell. circa 80km (50miles). Meet at Meadowhall - by the entrance to the Wetherspoons Foundry pub and Oasis area at 9.30 prompt. My ride takes us into Clumber via Cresswell Crags where after 20 miles, we will have a standing stop at the Visitor Centre.
We will then head over to Olawa for Lunch at 30 miles.
The route back is shorter, and total distance starting and finishing at Meadowhall is 50 miles with around 2,500 ft of climbing, which is flat by CTC standards.

Around Loxley Valley to Sheffield Garden Centre (Grade 1) 

Starts: 9.30 On the bridge at The end of Rivelin Valley Road/Junction Malin Bridge

A relatively easy route around the scenic Loxley Valley. There are a few hills, but the only significant one is the Blindside climb from Low Bradfield to Sugworth  Road. Once we’ve gained the height we circle around the head of the Loxley Valley enjoying panoramic views before we descend via High Bradfield to the Sheffield Garden Centre. After coffee and cake it’s a short and easy descent to Malin Bridge. For those of you who did this ride with me last year, I promise no hilly detour near the end!

Stretton Hall Farm (Grade 2)

We head out to the east of Chesterfield via Coal Aston and Brimington. We then turn south-west through Grassmoor and Tupton to reach our destination of Stretton Hall Farm at 19 miles. The return route passes Ashover Rocks before following Eastmoor then through Barlow and Holmesfield back to the start. There are a few steeper hills but these will be taken at a steady pace.

Hope village (Grade 2)
Starts: 9.30  Kringle Bakery, Ringinglow Road, Bents Green

Kringle Bakery opens early for those wanting a coffee/pastry before the ride.
We will make our way to Hope via Burbage and New Road, then take the Thornhill
Trail which will take us to the quiet lanes through Thornhill and Aston.
We will have a café stop in Hope and return to Sheffield along the Hope Valley and
then back up Surprise View to Foxhouse and Ringinglow.
The ride is Grade 2 because of the hills, but will be taken at a steady Grade 1 pace with regular regrouping.

Totties via Bolsterstone (Grade 3)
Starts: 9.30 Kringle Danish Bakery Ringinglow Road, Bents Green S11 7PU

9.30, but coffee and pastries if you are early. A hilly ride and my last Grade 3 before next Spring. Out through the Mayfield Valley and Lodge Moor to Low Bradfield. On through Bolsterstone (pause for a snack) and our first visit to Millhouse Green. From here it’s an anticlockwise loop for lunch at Totties Garden Centre and back to Millhouse Green. The rest of the return takes in Green Moor, Greno Woods and Hillsborough on its way to Sheffield City Centre. People will probably disperse here but the route continues to the start point for those who need to return there. Don’t forget to bring a snack as it is 29 miles to the lunch stop.

Ride Grades | Sheffield District CTC

Cannon Hall Farm (Grade 2)
Starts: 9.30 Depot Bakery, Hillsborough Park

60km with 850m ascent, to The White Bull at Cannon Hall Farm. Meet at the Depot in Hillsborough (don't forget the clocks go back!) - 9am for a 9.30am departure. 
We will go out via Crane Moor and Silkstone and home via Ingbirchworth Reservoir and Millhouse Green, where we'll pick up the TPT.  The route is on roads and well-surfaced trails but some of the road descents around Crane Moor are potholed and poorly-surfaced so I'd suggest a minimum of 28mm tyres. Also, as it's getting darker earlier, please bring lights just in case.
